Homemade Flatbread with Green Onions and Spinach

Instructions

In a large bowl, mix the warm water and 1 teaspoon salt until dissolved.
Add the egg and whisk until combined.
Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms.
Add the chopped green onions, chopped spinach, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and red pepper.
Knead until the dough becomes smooth and well combined.
Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into small equal balls.
Roll or flatten each ball into a round flatbread.
Heat a pan over medium heat.
Cook each flatbread on both sides until golden and cooked through.
Brush with melted butter while cooking or just after removing from the pan.

Serve warm with:
Yogurt
Hummus
Labneh
Garlic sauce

For extra softness, keep the cooked flatbreads covered with a clean towel while you finish the batch.
