Monte Cristo Sliders

Preparation Method

Step 1: Prepare the Rolls
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Without separating the rolls, slice the entire package horizontally using a serrated knife. Place the bottom half into a greased baking dish.

Step 2: Layer the Ingredients
Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard if desired.

Add layers in this order:

Swiss cheese
Ham
Turkey
Cranberry sauce
Mozzarella or provolone cheese
Place the top half of the rolls over everything.

Step 3: Make the Butter Sauce
In a small bowl combine:

Melted butter
Honey
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Worcestershire sauce
Poppy seeds
Mix well until fully blended.

Step 4: Brush the Sliders
Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls. Let the sliders sit for about 5 minutes so the buttery mixture can soak into the bread.

Step 5: Bake
Cover the baking dish with foil.

Bake for 15 minutes covered.

Remove foil and bake another 8–10 minutes until:

tops are golden brown
cheese is melted
sliders are hot and bubbly
Final Touch
Dust the warm sliders lightly with powdered sugar before serving. This gives them that authentic Monte Cristo flavor everyone loves.
