3-Ingredient Sausage & Cream Cheese Casserole

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a baking dish (8×8 inch or similar size) with butter or oil to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Cook the Sausage

Place a skillet over medium heat and add the sausage. Cook it thoroughly, breaking it apart with a spatula as it browns.

  • Continue cooking until the sausage is fully browned and no pink remains.
  • If there is excess grease, carefully drain some of it from the pan.

This step is important because it builds the base flavor of the casserole.

Step 3: Add the Cream Cheese

Reduce the heat slightly and add the cream cheese to the cooked sausage.

  • Cut the cream cheese into smaller chunks so it melts faster.
  • Stir continuously until the cream cheese is fully melted and evenly coats the sausage.

At this stage, the mixture should look creamy and well combined.

Step 4: Prepare the Eggs

In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until smooth.

  • Add a pinch of salt and pepper if desired.
  • You can also include garlic powder or other seasonings for extra flavor.

Step 5: Combine Everything

Pour the egg mixture into the sausage and cream cheese mixture.

  • Stir well until everything is fully incorporated.
  • Make sure the eggs are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Step 6: Bake the Casserole

Transfer the mixture into your prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

  • Place it in the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is set in the center and lightly golden on top.

To check doneness, insert a knife or toothpick in the center—it should come out clean.

 Serving Suggestions

Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before slicing.

  • Cut into squares and serve warm.
  • Pair it with toast, salad, or roasted vegetables.
  • It also works great as a breakfast dish or a low-carb dinner.

 Tips for Best Results

  • Use high-quality sausage for better flavor.
  • Don’t overbake—this can make the casserole dry.
  • Add cheese on top during the last 5 minutes for a crispy finish.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
